How accurate is GridSight?
£31/MWh MAE on 10-day GB day-ahead, £15 better than climatology. Full numbers on the GridSight product page — updated with every nightly retrain.
What happens if a retrain degrades accuracy?
We gate every retrain on a regression check. If the new model fails any threshold — MAE, calibration, train/test ratio — we automatically roll back and keep serving the previous model.
Is Compound Vision ML or physics?
Pure physics. Monin-Obukhov atmospheric stability, manufacturer power curves, Perez irradiance transposition, and 30+ other documented steps. No black-box ML. When a forecast is wrong, you can trace exactly which physical step caused it.
Can I add my own wind or solar farms?
Yes, on the Compound Vision Expert tier. Add farms via the API or the dashboard modal. Compound Vision infers missing specs from vintage-weighted defaults and reports a data-quality badge so you know what's measured vs estimated.
Do I need to commit annually?
No. All paid tiers are monthly and cancelable. Annual commitments are available for Expert with a discount — talk to us.
Can I try Pro before paying?
Yes. Email us and we'll set up a 14-day Pro trial with no card required. This applies to both GridSight and Compound Vision.
What about data residency?
GridSight runs on Fly.io in London (LHR). Compound Vision runs on Fly.io. All data stays within the provider's infrastructure. Expert customers can request dedicated infrastructure.
Can I self-host?
Not today. If you have a strong regulatory or security reason that requires it, get in touch — we're open to discussing it for Expert customers.
