A power system is decided years before it operates and paid for decades after. Get the modelling right and every subsequent decision starts from a better place; get it wrong and the error compounds just as surely. Compounding Energy exists to put investment-grade modelling — the kind that used to take a consultancy six months — into the hands of the people making those decisions, at the speed they make them.
Eight verbs, one method: detailed physical modelling and robust data, fast enough to move decisions. Every product shares the same fleet model, network topology, weather store and solver — so the siting answer, the price forecast, the dispatch and the expansion plan agree with each other. That is the compounding.
Prices from dispatch, generation from weather, plans from optimisation — not curve fits. When a number surprises you, you can trace why.
Every forecast is saved before the answer is known and scored against what happened. Pre-registered tests publish regardless of outcome — misses ship unmodified next to the passes.
Nodal solves that took a cluster and a quarter now run daily. Studies that took months run in an afternoon, reproducibly, from a signed manifest.
Compounding Energy is built by Dr Christopher Clack — applied mathematician and power-systems modeller. After a career in academia and government service, he founded Vibrant Clean Energy in 2016 and created WIS:dom, the high-resolution capacity-expansion model behind studies used across the US industry, before selling the company to Pattern Energy and spending several years there putting the models to work inside a major developer. Now in the UK, he's building the same rigour into products anyone can subscribe to. The premise is his career's: the grid rewards whoever models it most honestly.

Compounding Energy Ltd is registered in England & Wales (no. 17319227) and builds everything in-house — the models, the data pipelines, the solver, the products. No licensed black boxes between you and the answer.
